1943 ~ August Swirlydoos

Saturday I decided to break in to my August Swirlydoos kit and create a little something .. most of the housework was done and I was trying to avoid the heat outside! This photo is of my mom (far right, standing in the back) and her family, taken when she was 14 and half.  All of my materials are from the kit, except for the vine which is from Angelica's Etsy shop.  I did a lot of distressing to my paper edges with my Distrezz-it-all .. but I cropped my photo too close to appreciate them. They look awesome though. Love the little chippie from Dusty Attic .. I just inked it and it didn't seem to need anything more.

I did a second layout but it seems to need a little something more, so I'll wait to post that. Hope you have a great week!

  9. Hi there!
    This is just wonderful!
What lovely elements on this page!
So you asked about Create a Critter, I guess it may be too juvenile for your rich LO's. But hey, juvenile fits me and my life! LOL! I am trying to force Nanne to get it b/c she loves cartoony figures so much and scene bulding that I thought it great for her!
Looking forward to seeing what you are working on! (and yes, I still have lots of LO's just laying inside the albums too! LOL! I thought I was going to freak yesterday trying to work with those dang post bound albums! what a pain!!!
