Daddy's Girl

Happy Wednesday, Everybody! I wanted to jump on my blog and share my most recent latest using my May Swirlydoos kit, Grandma's Garden. I love love love the warm earth tones of the papers, a combination of Glitz Laced with Grace and some misc Crafter's Workshop. Krissy has added all sorts of wonderful emblellies to this kit!

Now, you probably don't often see a wedding page done with these tones but I had this wonderfully warm photo of my granddaughter and her dad dancing at her recent wedding.  And since I was in love with these papers, it was a perfect pairing in my eyes. The nice thing about scrapping your granddaughter's wedding is that you don't feel so compelled to make the pages all match ..at least, I don't. LOL (Speaking of the colors, my cousin had a Fall wedding and actually wore an orange gown. It was so unique and totally her!)

I used my new Martha Stewart deep edge Garden Gate punch on the center panel, distressed all my edges and actually used my Imagine to cut my photo mats (ACY),  the center scallop (WW) and circle (GBS), the title (HM) and my butterflies (HA.) I've added some bling and ribbon from my stash. The flowers are all Petaloo. I did add some Diamond Dust and Rock Candy Stickles to my green flower and my background paper. And of course inked the edges of my other flowers. I've thought about doing some more to my page .. like using some of the Gltiz paper layers under my photos .. I may go back and do that .. but I believe that for now I'm ready to move on to a new project!

I will have projects and news to post soon, so check back when you can! Thanks for dropping by!
