SOUS 9-16 True Love/perfect pair

Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm so excited that the weekend is around the corner! After being on vaction last week, it was kind of hard getting back into the routine!

This week at Stuck on U Sketches we have a fantstic sketch from  Alda Stevens at The Flying Unicorn. I have posted the sketch below in case you have not saved it yet. I loved loved loved this one! Alda is also our September Blog Candy donor! There are 5 challenges in September and the more you play, the more times your name is entered to win!

Speaking of love .. I really wanted to get this photo scrapped of dd Danielle and her hubby Mike taken at a family wedding this year. My working title was Perfect Pair but in the end I settled for True Love .. don't ask, it was a Cricut issue.

I used up the last of my Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers .. I think I have something like 9 or 10 layers on here .. I soooo loved these papers. Right up my scrappy alley! I did lots of distressing on this page .. with lots of inking and then misting on the flowers. Added in some lace, ribbon, fussy cutting, bling and some punchwork ...  and that just about does it.  LOL Like how I rolled all those hours of scrapping in to 2 sentences?  Anyway, I had some serious fun with this page!

Now, it's your turn to take this great sketch and run with it! You will have 2 weeks to upload your project to Stuck on U Sketches. Can't wait to see what you create!

Have a great weekend!

  4. Sandi, this is just beautiful! I love the colors! You do so very well with your color palette; I often don't have a good eye for blending colors!

  9. Sandi, this is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! 9 or 10 layers ~ WOW!!! These are my favorite papers, too! I went on line and bought some more, because I have been asked to do an album for Rick's Aunt. We went to her 90th birthday party when we went to Tulsa the first of the month and they had a photographer there taking pictures... I am told they have close to 100 photos to scrap... I think this collection is perfect for some of the layouts!!!!!! Oh, and I just have to tell you..... 2 of our cows are going to have calves... 1 in 2 to 3 weeks and the other in a couple of months..... I'm soooo excited... Take care!!!! Hugs!!
