My Top Twelve for 2013!

Sometimes choosing my Top 12 is a little harder, some years easier .. but I think these are my faves this time.

A fun page using some yummy Meg's Garden papers.

This one has had twice as many views as any other one this year.  I love the photo. And the Prima collection is just so romantic! :)

Early on, this page was a struggle but it finally came together! Winning that battle made me happy! Paper collection by GCD/Donna Salazar, Natural Beauty.

I'm not sure why I chose this one except that it is so unlike me. I fought the bright colors but in the end I choose to embrace them and even enhance them! (Prima's gorgeous Sunrise, Sunset designed by Finnabair.)

This was a mixed media canvas I did while still at Scrap That! It won a Prima feature, too! Gotta love that part! Very colorful and fun! (Prima Delight)

Next is a Mixed Media on Glass that I really love. Probably my fave project all year!

Part of my last Reveal at Scrap That Kit Club! Awesome Maja collection!

My little twin grandsons ... so adorable! Used Karan Gerber's sketch #98 on this one. Scrapberry's paper and some Kasiercraft as well.

From my first Reveal at C'est Magnifique Kit Club. Loved the chipboard treatment and the hand made flowers.

Total fave! (More Maja papers!)

A sweet layout featuring a photo of my Daddy and me. Sure do miss him! Don't you love the gorgeous Inkido papers?!!

Be still my heart! I'm in love with one! Thank you, Leslie, for a fantastic January Kit including the yummy Fabscraps Shabbylicious papers.

Okay, that's 12 .. but I have to share 2 more!

I'm looking forward to 2014 and all that it holds!

Thanks for coming by!

January Kit sneak peek layouts for C'est Magnifique!

Hi, everyone! I'm here today to share my sneak peek layouts using the January Kit at C'est Magnifique Kits. This kit is shabby to the max and such a dream to work with!

First up is a layout of my youngest daughter and focusing on a sweet backstory of a compass that she and her hubby passed back and forth until their wedding day.  I loved getting a little inky and messy on this one! The embellishments were so perfect for a page centered around love and romance.

"True North"

To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: stencil, molding paste, mist, computer, die cut machine and card stock.

___

Next, I changed color schemes and went with the pinks, whites and greys from the kit and add-ons. This is my little granddaughter Marianne decorating Christmas cookies last year. I am totally in love with that grey blinged out flower!  Swoon!!

"Made from Scratch"

To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: stencil, molding paste, mist, punches and card stock.

___

And then ... I decided to go artsy and have some fun making my own background.  I started it off with some almost dry Gesso, added my molding paste and used the stencil from the Embellishment Add-on. The mists are some Lindy's Stamp Gang (Industrial Chic) that was a recent special order on the C'est Magnifique Forum. The photo is my cutie-pie niece, Karen.

"Memories"

To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: Gesso, molding paste, mists, and stamps.

Well, that's it from me today! I will be back on the 30th .. just in time for the Full Kit Reveal and another layout using these fabulous kit!

If I'm not back before then, let me take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas!

A last look at the December Kit from C'est Magnifique

Hello, everyone! Sandi here with you today, sharing a last look at the December C'est Magnifique Kit, "Holiday Magic."  Leslie always puts together the most beautiful kits but being a lover of all things Christmas, this one truly "sang my name!"

"Christmas Greetings"

First up I went a little outside my normal box and scrapped in the upper left-hand corner and used the printed red paper as my background instead of a more solid design.  In the Spirit of Christmas, I decided that paper tearing was in order! The flowers from the FAO are so gorgeous and perfectly compliment the remainder of the kit.

The photo is of the slimline tree that we had to buy last year to better acommodate our downstairs floor plan.

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Gesso and pearls.

"Time to Shop"

Next is a photo of my 3 darling daughters on a recent annual Girl's Shopping Day.  I loved the blue and beige tones of some of the Kit paper that are so perfect for any type of wintery page. I did a bit of stenciling, more paper tearing and layering. I added in the Blue Fern Studios Shabby Bricks as a layer and left them bare.

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Stencil, molding paste, seam binding and jute.

"Christmas Thoughts"

This was actually the first layout I made using the December "Holiday Magic" Kit.  I am a big angel collector and have tons of angels! One year I decided to put about a dozen of my Christmas  angels on my tree. This photo is of a fave!  My layout is based on a sketch by friend Nanne' Harry for Stuck on U Sketches

I loved adding the Heidi Swapp Color Shine on this page. It really sparkles!

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used:Stencil, molding paste, Gesso, stamp, cheesecloth and gold paper doilies.

"December Memories"

This is a photo of my Daddy and I taken on Christmas Day many years ago. It must have been a prosperous year because I sure got lots of gifts .. one of them being my first pair of skates.  Mom and Dad took me out on the sidewalk for a few quick lessons. I can still remember that first big fall like it was yesterday! Ouch!  =)

This page was based on our December Sketch by Michele Singh. We hope you will join in the challenge!

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Stencil, molding paste, ink, Gesso and a crochet doily.

"Christmas Joy"

Once I finally committed to using this silly little photo, I let loose and had some good 'ole Christmas fun with this kit! I layered up a storm with papers, flowers, resins and chipboard from the C'est Magnifique December Kit and add-ons. I loved the mix of different shades of green (especially the lime)  that contrasted with the red and the stark white surrounded by that awesome dark brown frame of the Kaisercraft Die Cut paper from the kit. Nothing like playing with traditional Christmas colors to get you in the Spirit! I even let Santa join in the fun!

A last look at some of those amazing colors!

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Stencil and molding paste.

Thanks for stopping by today!
