Planning, planning, planning ...

Welcome, crafty friends!

Planning, planning, planning ... that's all I do anymore in my craft room. Besides journaling. Trying my very best to organize our schedule during this otherwise hectic, crazy time in our lives. But making it somewhat pretty as I go.

For this week's spread I've opted out of stencils and gone with 2 chipboard words from the CE Planner Word Set. These were painted with Rangers Uncharted Mariner Distress Paint. Just a quick simple alteration that a huge difference on my routine planner page. Using chipboard makes for some bumpy writing but occasionally, it's makes for a nice change.

Stickers are from Live.Love.Posh's Fall Chic and some Kell of a Plan's Neutral boxes. The color story makes for a cute twist!

Thanks for dropping by today!

I hope you feel inspired to create whatever  brings you joy!

Now is the Best Time ~ Creative Embellishments

Hello, Creative Embellishments friends!

Sandi Clarkson  here with you today sharing another planner spread using the Ivy Stencil  from the CE online store.

Creative Embellishments has such a great variety of stencils. So perfect for mixed media or for simply embellishing a greeting card or layout ... just about any craft project, really. Check out the Stencil choices that Nicolle has in the store by clicking on this link: STENCILS.  There are so many great ones! Remember that Creative Embellishments has more than chipboard! There is also lots of wood veneer, flair buttons, acrylic of all kinds, larger wooden Home Decor pieces and of course, stencils!

For the left side of my planner page, I started with the Ivy Stencil and used my Distress brush to apply Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness and Peeled Paint. I had planned to stencil in some pink dots from the Distressed Patterns Stencil but I didn't have much room for them and decided to leave white space. Once you begin writing in your planner, it can start to look a little cluttered and defeat the purpose of using your organizational tools.

The sticker boxes I chose are relativity thin and you can see what's behind the box unless you "wallpaper" your sticker box. Nobody has time for that, right? Alternatively, you could add your elements and then stencil around them if the bleed through bothers you. Once I start writing on the page, the bleeding disappears for me and I don't notice it.

The right side almost mirrors the right. There's an extra day of course and believe me there are many more boxes added than you see here!

The florals were added after the stenciling and the boxes and bullets were added last. It is SO hard to not add any dimensional items but that's just outside of reason for me since I want this to be really functional for me. I found a perfect quote, added that and we were ready to plan!

Thanks for bearing with me while I deviate from my norm.

Hopefully, one of you will be inspired to get creative with what you have and where you are in life right now!

My apologies for the loss of my photos after the Creative Embellishments store was closed and their website/blog went done.

See you later!

Sandi
