Joyful ~ Newborn layout for My Creative Scrapbook

Hello, friends! 

Today I'm excited to share a sweet design team layout with some newborn photos of our sweet grandson Lucas and his mommy. 

I really love all the papers in the 49 and Market Birdsong range which is the featured collection for the February Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. For my background paper here, I've chosen the Trilling Moments paper which is a lovely collage of birds and nests done in a vintage sort of way. Loving the color combo for this work, I gathered some other paper remnants that I'd been using and built up the photo layers beneath my two photos. For matting I've used the Sweet Notes paper. 

I did something kind of unique for me this time. I started my layout from the bottom and working upward!  Sounds crazy I know but I wanted to get my florals just so-so and created a floral nest for my photos. Then it was a matter of assembling and details, details, details, knowing approximately where I wanted my photos to reside.

Feel the Joy! ~ My Creative Scrapbook

Today I'm sharing my first project with the February Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This month's kit features the bold and bright 49 and Market Birdsong collection. All of our florals and chipboard this month are from Prima Marketing. 

I have been saving this AI generated photo for some special project and I think this layout was a perfect time to pull it out. JonasPeteron creates AI images that feature older people in bright bold clothing, so it was a match made in heaven, huh?

Brrrr ~ Sketch Layout for My Creative Scrapbook ~ my favorite of the month!

 Hello, friends! 

Today I'm sharing Design Team project #4 using the January Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook Kit club. For this one, I decided to use the Sketch that was include with the kit and I've posted that for you below. It was a fun one to do and once I got started, it just continued to evolve. 

This may be my favorite project created with the January LE kit but gosh, I don't know. I really loved them all. The photo is of our grandson Danny who was named after my husband. 

The Simple Stories Fresh Snow collection has so many coordinating pieces and a bunch of those were included in the kit along with yummy florals from 49 and Market, Prima and Little Birdie. 

The papers were so gorgeous that I almost want to order more to use at another time. The palette was just a great transition from the holidays.

Hello, Winter! layout with process video ~ My Creative Scrapbook

 Hello, creative friends! 

So glad that you stopped by today. 

I'm excited to share this new Design Team layout created with the My Creative Scrapbook January Limited Edition Kit. This kit features Simple Stories Simple Vintage Fresh Snow collection and florals from Prima Marketing and 49 and Market. 

I love this collage paper that came with the collection. Honestly, a photo mat, some photos, title and you could be all done if you wish. Of course, I had to add more and I love how it turned out. My process video is down at the end of this post if you want to check it out! 

The kit has some great embellishments that are part of the Fresh Snow collection and they were super fun to use. 

I've used 3 florals on this layout and embellished them with ink, sequins, glitter and pearls. 

I used the third flower to support my chipboard title piece but I also embellished it as I did the others. 

There were so many bits and pieces to tuck here and there.

Better Together ~ My Creative Scrapbook mixed media layout

Thanks for stopping by today! 

I know that blog readership has declined but I do like having a place to document my creative work and to share the process as often as I can. 

Today's sweet layout was created as Design Team work for My Creative Scrapbook using the January Limited Edition  Kit. This kit features Simple Stories Simple Vintage Fresh Snow collection along with various embellishments including our signature florals.  

As soon as I received my DT kit, I remembered this sweet collage photo of two of the grandkids drinking presumably hot chocolate. I matted it with one of the gorgeous paper remnants from my last project. 

I don't recall ever creating a project that features multiple tags, so this was a fun project to do! And maybe thus why I didn't get it videoed. Who knows, December is a busy month, right? 

For my purpose, I did create the tag on the far right from one of the cut apart pages. The design really caught my eye and I thought the navy blue would be grounding. I kind of played around with my arrangement until I was pleased. However, I did not adhere them until after I used the Kit's pine branch stencil and some white molding paste. That technique helped add to the snowy feeling, 

After adhering my tags, I added  some twine to a few of the tags as well as the small chipboard You Melt My Heart chipboard. 

Here is a close-ups of the pretty designs on some of these tags. 

Don't you love the design of that Pine Branch stencil. It is also a Simple Stories product. 

For the lower right side of my layout, I played around with various chipboard pieces along with the 

SS ephemera to create a cute design to counterbalance my photo cluster. 

Then I begin adding some of my final features including my flowers and more of the ephemera. Lastly, I splattered some white Picket Fence. 

I love how this one turned out!

Winter Wonderland - newest layout for My Creative Scrapbook!

Hi, creative friends! Thanks for coming by today! 

I'm here with a new layout for My Creative Scrapbook using the January 2025 Limited Edition Kit. 

This was one of my favorite kits ever, I think. The Simple Stories Vintage Simple Fresh Snow collection is just stunning! 

I've used some photos of my granddaughter doing a photo shoot in the snow .. perfect for this yummy winter wonderland collection.
