More "My Creative Scrapbook" GDT projects!

Happy Friday, everyone! Thanks for coming by! I am back again today to share another project for My Creative Scrapbook using the last of my March Limited Edition Kit. I am thrilled that I've had the opportunity to be one of their Guest Designers this month.

For my last layout, I thought I would go with a photo that did not have a romantic theme .. except for this girl's love of horses! One of my sweet granddaughters. As you can see I've done a lot of fussy cutting, punch work and tearing in lieu of going with any real wet mediums. I did coat things with splashed on gesso and that was about it.

Loved using some of the shipping package for an added layer! It was dry brushed with white gesso.

The canvas flower was perfect for an outdoorsy theme, I thought.  I've added in some jute from my stash to make a bow for underneath. You can see where I've used chipboard from the Kit to create interest behind the photo.

I was bound and determined to get a tag out of my scraps but I was almost out of paper, so I used my Prima flower packaging as my base, punched the lower edge, added a few tags from the paper and it was ready for those leftover bits of decorative chipboard! The ribbon was just something from my stash. Now, I'm all set for a wedding or shower!

Thanks for coming by again today! If you haven't check out the kits yet, go HERE to see them and get more information about subscribing! To see the Design Team gallery, go HERE

My Creative Scrapbook Kit Reveal! Guest Designing!

I have been so "over the moon" that Pam invited me to Guest Design for her at My Creative Scrapbook this month using the always gorgeous Limited Edition Kit!   Her Limited Edition Kits are definitely a must. What I love about My Creative Scrapbook is that there is a Kit for everyone regardless of your style!

(Limited Edition Kit)

The only things I added from my own stash to complete my layouts were  mists, gesso, stencils and molding paste. I'll be doing a Build-a-page tutorial  on this project later this month so stay tuned!

The Prima Something Blue papers were unexpectedly fabulous! Really diverse with awesome earthy colors. Here I've added tons of layers of flowers, ribbon and chipboard.

For my second layout, I decided to use the more neutral colors of the Kit's papers from Prima. That little polka dot tag was one of my favorite things from the entire collection. Funny how one little something can make you so scrappy happy! No real mixed media on this one .. just a few paint splatters.  I like to show the versatility in a Kit, so I scrapped a grandchild and did a fairly standard shabby, romantic example.

My third layout was fun to do .. the paper lends itself well to mixed media treatment. Some molding paste, a stencil and mist. Oh, a bit of gesso for good measure. I just layered and layered on this one … the flowers and embellies! Such a happy vibe to it but yet it is still shabby and romantic. Loving the new Prima lace stickers! Yum! You can see it below the photo under the peach Lyric flower.

A close-up:

I'll be back in a day or two with my last 2 projects using the My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition Kit. Thanks again to Pam for having me as Guest Design Team this month!

Hop on over to My Creative Scrapbook and see all the kits, then head to the Design Team Gallery and check out what they've done! Wow! I am so impressed .. every month, without fail!
