It's Reveal Day! My Creative Scrapbook

Hello, My Creative Scrapbook fans! We are excited to bring you the June Kits! As always, I worked with the Limited Edition Kit and it was heavenly, filled to the brim with Blue Fern Studios Tranquility collection, BFS and Prima flowers, and Prima Salvage District ephemera. Two kinds of chipboard and of course, some trims. I've done an unboxing video this month, that I'll share near the end of my post. 

Of course, I'm scrapping my sweet granddaughter and her husband again. They recently had some great photos taken near the beach. I went crazy with texture on this one. You know me, I love my texture! 

I'll let the photos do the talking this time around. Just lots of background work, building of the embellishments and adding texture. 

I cut the Blue Fern Studios Dangle chipboard in two and used it on two different projects. 

As you can see, right now, I am obsessed with art stones. Those came from my stash. 

Loving that Pam has been including cheesecloth in the kits for those of you who don't keep it on hand. It's great for adding as a layer. 

Love the wee bottles from the Salvage District Ephemera pack. I filled this one with microbeads. 

Just a little side view for dimension.

New Sketch Challenge at Blue Fern Studios

Thanks for coming by today! 

 It's time for another new sketch challenge for you over at Blue Fern Studios.  

 Michele Singh has created this beautiful sketch exclusively for Blue Fern! 

Here are the sketch challenge details:

One lucky winner, selected by a random draw, will receive a prize package of Blue Fern Studios chipboard!

In addition, we will also select 3 (or more) layouts to feature.

We have just a few simple rules to follow if you would like to participate in our sketch challenge:

1.) Feel free to interpret the sketch as you please by means of taking it as-is or 

flipping/turning/mirroring it to suit your needs! 

2). Please note that you can do whatever type of project you please - a layout, card, 

  canvas, altered item- whatever suits your mood and style! 

We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.

3.) You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard OR use Blue Fern Studios paper on your project. Please note that you do not need to use the pieces featured in the sketch

- use whatever suits your fancy! You can find the store nearest you HERE.

Attic Charm ~ Another Blue Fern Studios release!

Well, Blue Fern Studios has done it again with a gorgeous new vintage collection which includes paper, chipboard, embossing powder, glitter, stamps and flowers! These are some seriously gorgeous flowers, too!

Blissful ~ Blue Fern Studios

"Blissful" 

Last but not least for Blue Fern Studios is my example for the Tranquility Reveal. 

My primary background paper is the B side of the Hushed paper. More Hushed paper was utilized as torn photo layers to help build the background along with a Calling Card. I've done some stenciling and added some random mist colors from my stash. 

All my chipboard pieces were treated the same to create a cohesive look. I've again done multiple embossing powder over clear gesso. 

Some Organic Coins were used as a photo layer and embossed with In the Navy, Nutmeg and Garnet Embossing Powder. Fool's Gold Glitter was also added in for sparkle. The Scalloped Border chipboard is just barely peeking out on each side of the photo. My Blissful title was treated the same as well. 

I enjoyed using the new Tranquility Flowers on this page, so added them generously! 

A better look at that Scalloped Border chipboard and Blissful title. 

You can see bits of the Making Plans stamping that was done as I was preparing my background. I've used black splattered paint as a finishing touch. I also added some black dots to my lilies to make them more life-like. 

Just wanted to share one more image of these gorgeous Tranquility Roses and Lilies.
