Yay! It's Friday and time for the weekend .. woo-hoo! Aaaaaaaand time for our Friday layout sketch over at Stuck on U Sketches. This week's sketch was done by our much-loved co-leader and friend, Nanne Harry. It's so very versatile. I hope you get a chance to play along with us!
I was thrilled to get a chance to work on this page! I was needing the therapy that scrapping provides. So, since most of my scrappy goodness was packed away, I turned to one of my newest kits. It was filled with lots of Heidi Swapp and Teresa Collins yummy papers.
I used a bit of molding paste along with a Prima mask to create some texture on the 2 corners of my page. I went for an imperfect look and really like the results. I also decided to distress my papers and simply clean up the mess afterwards! LOL It had been too long without any distressing! Needed to do it!
You've seen this photo before but in black and white. This color version was the last in my pre-printed stack of photos to be used. The darling smile on my grand daughter's face prompted my "Miles and miles of smiles" title. She is such a hoot!
Then, it was "layer, ink and embellish" city~ Knowing this was probably my last project for a while , I just had as much fun as could with the supplies on hand!
Here are a few close-ups.
Pretty vintage Prima, Petaloo and Manor House flowers as well as some Prima trinkets .. love those things! Filled in with some gauze and added a bit of Gesso to my elements.
More of the same as well as a portion of my title.
The upper corner molding paste and the cute mini banner created from the Prima packaging. Lots of doilies tucked in everywhere, included a 10 inch one used as the die cut for the sketch.
Lastly, some Thickers for the larger part of my title. I think that is about it!
Now, if you have not yet visited Stuck on U Sketches, I hope you will hop on over there and see what the rest of the Design Team has done! We have some of the most talented ladies around! Aaaaaand .. we hope that you will be inspired to play along and link your project for a chance at the Top 3!
