Yay! I'm so excited!! There are so many things to be thankful for this year but one of the things I am most grateful for is that we are finally moved and getting all settled in our new home. I have lots to do yet in terms decorating and getting everything just so-so .. but we are unpacked and feeling somewhat normal again! Whew! Praising God for that!
So, along with that comes a big reason to celebrate ... my scrappy things are out where I can see them and put them to use. Saturday evening, I actually took some time to make a quick card for today's challenge! It's pretty simple but it felt so good to play with paper again!!
I've been dying to tear in to my Graphic 45 Birdsong collection and used today's sketch as the perfect opportunity. I did lots of paper layering although I did not distress my edges but inked them instead. Then I added a couple of embellishments from the collection and popped them on adhesive squares for dimension. For glimmer, I've used some rhinestones (instead of my usual pearls) and scattered them here and there.
Lastly, I've used some Petaloo florals as accents .. so yummy! Oh, yes! I did decorate the inside of the card but forgot to photograph it. Speaking of photographing, I will need to find a new spot for taking my photos of my cards. I have the perfect spot for taking my layouts photos but I"ll need to get creative with my card taking location. We are blessed with lots of trees close to the house, so we have lots of shade. I apologize that I didn't get a better photo this time .. but I'm working on that!
Alright, enough about me! Time to challenge you to play along with this fortnight's Card Sketch at Stuck on U Sketches. If you haven't already been then, you'll be amazed at what the DT has done with this Leah's great sketch!
Thanks for coming by! I always appreciate your visits! And to my USA friends, Happy Thanksgiving! Stay safe and have a great holiday!
