Quick Quotes Valentine's Day Easel Card
Happy Valentine's, everyone! I am back today with a fun Easel card that I made for the Quick Quotes Blog today. I have been dying to get into my Cracklin' Rose papers and thought the colors would be so great for a V-day card for my hubby. Plus a chance to use more of the luscious PowderPuff Chalk Ink. I am seriously in love with them!
As you can see, I've stamped a sentiment on a tan Fleur De Lis Square cut from the co-ordinating card stock, then inked the edges. I've used my Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish Die to cut a couple of flourishes, inked those, then went to town adding small Prima roses from a variety of collections.
I've used a Cracklin' Rose Die Cut ("I Love You") to serve as my brace for helping the card front to stand up. These are elevated a bit with foam squares. Of course, I had to add a couple of butterflies from the darker paper and using my Martha Stewart punches. Then I finished off with a few pearls and a bit of leftover bling.
I'm hoping he likes it .. and I bet he will! He's a great "scrappy husband" who always appreciates my creations!
That's it for today! Thanks for coming by!
