Love Card ~ Creative Embellishments March Challenge

Hello, hello! 

Wow, it seems like forever seems I've actually done a project just for myself! And boy, it sure felt good! 

And even longer since I've played along with a Challenge. Whoa! Can't believe it! And this is just for fun as far as I'm concerned  ... not for the prizes. 

Now that I'm a "free agent" again chipboard-wise, who better to play along with than my fave Creative Embellishments  chipboard peeps?! Right?!! Not only do they have amazing chipboard, they also have the best stamps EVER, not to mention their flairs, stencils and wood veneer.

The inspirational photo (seen below) inspired me to work with some jewel tones  .. pinks, purples and green.  Which reminded me of my Prima Love Clippings that I hadn't touched yet. I was needing to send a Get Well type card to my sweet sister-in-law, so I went shabby chic and girly! 

Now, the twist on the challenge is to add something that flies. Well for me, that would be time! LOL So, I added a clock, specifically the Steampunk Clock, placing the clock hands behind the clock for a different arrangement. For more layering I added one of my fave CE products which is their 6x6 chipboard panels … this time using a remnant of the Simple Quatrefoil Panel. I've also used their Flouirsh 22 set tucked in my flowers. If you haven't checked out their flourishes, you must! They have tons! 

Just for good measure on the "twist" I added one of their Butterfly Flair.  Better safe than sorry, I say! And then to top off the Steampunk Clock, I added the Love from This is Love which is simply heat embossed and gessoed. As is the clock.

The Panel and Flourish were both inked and the Flourish got some additional misting, then gesso. 

Here you can see the Bokeh stamping. Love that thing!!
