Hello, hello!
It's good to be back with you again today after a bit of an absence … holidays, vacation and work have kept me super busy!
So, I'm very excited to share my first DT project with the Scraps of Elegance January "Be Mine" Kit featuring Blue Fern Studios Heartland, Scrapberry (miscellaneous collections), Prima, Petaloo and so much more! I opted to get all the add-ons, so I've incorporated some of them into this page .. the Elements, Flower and Creative Kit add-ons.

I've been itching to create a new "Lucy" layout and this seemed like the perfect opportunity!
I've used the back side of the All You Need paper from Blue Fern Studios Heartland collection as my base layer and then fussy cut from the Kiss Kiss paper and Love Notes papers! My layers were built with Love Notes, Ephemera from Kaisercraft, flowers, cheesecloth (stash) and lace, all from the Kits.
I was thrilled to incorporate some of the sweet Prills from the Creativity add-on. My florals are mix of Kit flowers and other from the Flower add-on. Of course, the background has some stencil work and the addition of some of the Irresisitible Texture Spray from the Creativity add-on. Aren't those Blue Fern Studios Heartland Flowers and the Pataloo just the bomb?
This kit was just packed with embellishments and I loaded them on every chance I got! That Ken Oliver heart for Maya Road is amazing! And the sweet rhinestone hearts from Kaisrcraft were calling to be used … because everybody loves Lucy, right?
I snipped pieces of the lace from the kit and tucked it here and there. The wooden pieces from Kaisercraft made for a perfect title. When my page was nearly complete, I splattered more of the Irresistible paint, let that dry and then splattered with a white acrylic paint. You might note some stamp work done with BFS stamps from my stash.
I love clocks, so I went big on this one from the ephemera pack and also incorporated another decorative piece to add Lucy's name, the date of the photo and the copyright holder of the photo. Because there was a twine bow lying on my desk, I tucked it into my floral cluster to give it a finished look! More Prills, oh be still my heart!
And this last close-up just shows more of the Prills, some of the ephemera and bits of the lace and flowers from the Flower Add-on! A couple of butterflies and I was done!
I can't wait to begin project #2. The colors of the Kit are amazing! Please be sure to check out the Store to see this Kit as well as the Scraps of Darkness Kit and so much more! If you are not already a subscriber, you will want to get yourself signed up ASAP!
Okay, I'll be back soon with more Creative Work!
Thanks for coming by!
Sandi
